Constance O. Bauman

Constance (Connie) O. Bauman, 75, of Duryea, passed away Friday, January 2, 2009 at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, Pa. surrounded by family and friends.

She was born to the late Andrew and Olga Bauman, March 3, 1933, in Duryea, Pa. Connie graduated from Duryea High School in 1950 and worked in the garment industry for many years, retiring from Kimble Plastics. Connie resided at home for most of her life, providing loving care for her parents.

Connie was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and President of the Christian Women’s Association, a longtime volunteer at Allied Rehabilitation Services and a lifetime bowler, attaining many awards. She loved to travel and bowl at national and state tournaments.

Connie is survived by brothers, Andrew and his wife, Arlene, of Old Forge and John and his wife, Betty, of Duryea; an aunt, Rita of Duryea; and uncle, Thomas of Tunkhannock; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins; and was the godmother to many children.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from Kiesinger Funeral Services, 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea. Father Charles W. Rokosz will officiate.

Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary services will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at St. John’s Cemetery, Duryea.
