Margaret (Peggy) Brennan, 88, of Mountain Top died Thursday evening at Davis Manor, Mountain Top.
Born in Plains Township, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Ryan) Guinane. Peggy was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains Township, Class of 1938, and was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Peggy was employed for the Yale Hook and Eye Company of Newark, N.J., as a machine operator/inspector until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brennan in 1979; sisters, Rosalie Guinane and Jean Milligan.
Surviving are her son, William Freeman and his wife, Suzanne, Mountain Top; daughter, Elizabeth Ann McGurk, New Windsor, N.Y., five grandsons, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Guinane and his wife, Joan, Somerville, N.J. and sister, Jule Ackley, Illion, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 South Main Street, Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top.
