Marjorie L. (Koehler) Reis, 85, of Virginia Terrace, Forty Fort, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Koehler. Marge worked for a brief time at Percy A. Brown & Co. and spent most of her younger years raising her three daughters.
She loved solving crossword puzzles and going to the casino with her dearest friends, Elsie and Jack Harvilla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester, in 1997; and by her brother, John.
Surviving are her children, her daughter and caregiver, Debbie Mastrini, and husband Tom; Lisa Levandowski and her husband, Ed; Judy Kopec and her husband, Michael; her grandchildren, T.J., Nicole, Bryan, Lauren, Jordan, Michael and Jennifer; her sister, Alberta; brother Bud; and sisters-in-law Rose and Shirley, all of Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Name/St. Mary’s Parish Community Church, Swoyersville, with the Rev. Louis Grippe officiating.
The entombment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 190 Welles Street, Forty Fort, PA 18704.
