William L. Hall, of Auburn Township, Meshoppen, died Friday in John Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Md., after a long courageous battle with leukemia.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, on Dec. 28, 1939, a son of the late Joseph and Myrtle Lloyd Hall.
Bill was a graduate of GAR High School, Class of 1957, and retired from the Procter & Gamble Plant in Mehoopany after 28 ½ years of service.
He was a member of the Tunkhannock Moose lodge and a social member of the Black Walnut American Legion. Bill was a member of the P&G Retirees Association and the P&G Golf League. He enjoyed bird watching, golfing and traveling with his family.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Anne Kupinewicz Hall; sons William ,of Larksville; Jeffrey, of South Auburn; daughter Sandra Burgio, of Meshoppen; step-sister Marilyn Kneeland, of Sanford, Fla.; step-brothers Michael, James, Raymond and Ronald Piech, all of Nuangola; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m.
