Mrs. Bernadine M. Bozentka, of North Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at the Kindred Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born February 12, 1925, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Constance Mocior
Bernadine was a 1943 graduate of Marymount High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed for many years as a housekeeper at the Host Inn, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Maternity, Wilkes-Barre, and the Polish Union, Wilkes-Barre. Bernadine loved to play Bingo when she had the chance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander, on October 18, 1988; and brother Clemens.
Surviving is her son, Mark, of Wilkes-Barre; and grandson Mark, Wilkes-Barre.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church of the Maternity, Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, the Rev. John S. Terry, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, West Wyoming. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
