Julia Joblonski

Julia Joblonski, 92, died peacefully of natural causes during the morning hours of Monday, November, 2, 2009, at ManorCare Health Services, Laureldale, Berks County, where she had resided since October 2008.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Jablonski, on December 27, 1987.

Born in Reading, Julia was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Devera Hiryak. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. She was a member of Jednota First Catholic Slovak Union.

She had been employed by the former Camp and McGinnis Company and the former Hans Bick Company, Reading.

She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Joseph, in 1938; and by her son, John M. “Pikes,” in 1998; and two sisters, Mary Kozlowski and Pauline Listrani.

Julia is survived by her daughter, Barbara, wife of Ron Schmoyer, Mountain Top, with whom she last resided; and by her son, Edward, and his wife, Patricia Jablonski, of Cumru Township, Berks County. She is also survived by two sisters, Irene, wife of Lee Carter, Cumru Township, and Helen, widow of Harry Ballas, Spring Township, Berks County. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 250 S. 12th St., Reading, Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Reading. Relatives and friends may extend their sympathy and respects to the Jablonski Family at the Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home Inc., 239 S. Ninth St., Reading, on Thursday, from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m.
