Frank J. Byorick Jr, 89, of Hanover Township, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010, in hospice, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 12, 1921, in Breslau, Hanover Township. He was a son of the late Frank and Catherine (Douglas) Byorick.
Frank was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1939.
He was employed by Bendix Corp., Tobyhanna Army Depot, and Chamberlain Corp., Scranton, as a government inspector, which he retired from.
Frank was an avid golfer. He played at many golf courses in the surrounding areas for many of his 89 years, daily, especially at the “muni” in Wilkes-Barre.
He enjoyed golfing with his nephews, Mike and Greg.
Other than golf, he also liked the aquatic class at the C.Y.C. with the instructor, Betty, and his friend Dan. He missed the class so much.
Frank missed his best friend, Rusty, with whom he went for many walks with, and spending time together.
He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Scholl, with whom he resided; Rita Borucki, Plymouth, and Catherine Kazinski, York, Pa., as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
