Paul J. Dobransky, 76, of Newtown Square, and formerly of Edwardsville, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, N.J.
Paul was born in Edwardsville, on September 15, 1934. He was a son of the late Nicholas and Susan (Andrachin) Dobransky.
Paul was a graduate of Edwardsville High School.
He furthered his education at Temple University and the University of Notre Dame, acquiring master’s degrees in education and mathematics.
Paul was employed as a high school teacher for Hamerford Township High School and Marple Newtown High School.
He also taught teacher training AP courses at Penn State and Wilkes University.
Paul was a college board consultant and on the National Council of Teachers of Math.
Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lucas, and brothers, Nicholas, John, and Andrew Dobransky.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years of marriage, the former Lorraine Konefal, Newtown Square; sisters, Anne Vassello and Helen Novick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Paul will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville. Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming. Family and friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
