Hanover survives scare from Tech

PRINGLE – West Side Tech led by two at halftime before Hanover Area used a 25-point third quarter to avert a major upset and rally for a 80-71 victory in Wyoming Valley Conference boys basketball Thursday.

Bilal Floyd was the leading scorer for the Hawkeyes with 21 points. Mike Kelleher tallied 16 points in the win. Cory Dickson and Aaron Springer each chipped in 14.

Matt Klinges scored 20 points to pace the Titans. Isaiah Girau had 19 points and Larry Anderscavage pitched in 16.

The Black Knights’ Dylan Wasylyk led all scorers with 10 points.

Alex Barilla led Seminary with eight points.

Peter Alexis and John McCarthy scored in double figures as the Royals defeated Tunkhannock.

Alexis scored 17 points and McCarthy added 16. Austin Carr followed with nine points.
