Mary Kozemko, 96, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011, in the Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was the widow of Frank Kozemko.
Mary was born on September 21, 1914, in Wilkes-Barre. She was a daughter of the late Paul Zaley and Eva Ladyka Zaley. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School. Before retirement, she was employed in the Greater Wyoming Valley garment industry. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Welgosh, and her husband, Anthony; her grandchildren, Tony Welgosh and Michelle Welgosh; and her sister, Stephanie Dominick.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home, 136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with a Requiem Service and Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, North River Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Orest Kunderevych, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. A Parastas Service will be held at 6 p.m.
