Vittoria “Victoria” Perugino, 98, of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at her home.
Born in Norwood, Mass., on April 23, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Serafina Bernardo Galati.
She was a loving mother but an exceptional grandmother, and was the official potato pancake fryer until the age of 86. She won a blue ribbon for her spaghetti sauce at Pocono Downs.
Vittoria was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, John B. Perugino; son James A. Perugino; and brother and sisters, Anthony Galati, Mary Anania and Rosina Siciliano.
She is survived by her daughters and son, Betty and Danny Levitsky, Dallas; Joe and Elly Perugino, Kingston; and Sara and Don Kinch, Endicott, N.Y.; grandchildren, Paul and Keeley; John, Tom and Sandy; Steve and Nancy; Vicki and Ray; Rachel and Elmer; and Joey; great-grandchildren, Zach, Lauren, Daniel, Meghan and Robin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Therese’s Church. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
