Victoria Moore, 80, Pittston, was called home by our Lord on Friday, September 2, 2011.
Victoria was one of four children of the late Joseph and Laura Policare Schillaci.
She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1948, and was affiliated with Sandy Dee Fashions and Laura Fashions in Avoca.
Victoria was an active member in the Red Hat Society, a volunteer for the Sacred Heart Guild. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Her home was a gathering place for generations, and she most looked forward to the annual feast of St. Rocco, when her home would overflow with family, friends, and traditional Italian food.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband Michael Moore; a son, Michael P. Moore; grandson, Michael Patrick Moore; brothers, Marino Schillaci and Rocco Schillaci.
Victoria is survived by a son, Gary Moore and wife Kammy; granddaughter, Bria Moore; daughter, Maria Buczynski and her husband Henry, Moscow; granddaughter, Victoria Buczynski; grandson, Jake Buczynski; great-granddaughter, Delilah Grace; daughter-in-law, Lynette Moore; grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth and Jack Moore, California; brother, Carmen Schillaci and wife Josephine, Laflin; sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Eleanor; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church in Pittston. Officiate will be the Rev. Joseph Sibilano O.S. J. Interment will follow at St. Rocco’s R.C. Cemetery, Pittston Township. Services will be handled by Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Twp. Blvd., Pittston Twp., PA 18640.
