AJ Koscelansky, the grandson of West Pittston’s George and Lois Miller, and West Wyoming’s Donna Koscelansky and the late Andy Koscelansky, will take his baseball talents to Millersville University in the fall.
Koscelansky is a senior at Pope John Paul II High School in suburban Philadelphia and led his former school – Kennedy Kenrick – to back-to-back District 12 Class 2A titles as a sophomore and junior. KK merged with St. Pius X after last year to form PJP
The 6’1, 160-pound shortstop was named an All-Philadelphia Catholic League honorable mention and played for the All-Star Baseball Academy last summer.
Millersville is an NCAA Division II school which plays in the Easter Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
The right-handed hitting Koscelansky will find himself behind All-PSAC shortstop Ryan McCormick as a freshman, but the Marauder coaching staff sees him as a fit as a middle infielder and natural leader for their ballclub.
AJ is the son of Jackie and Jeff Koscelansky of East Norton.
