The Singing Valentines Program of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Wilkes-Barre Chapter, will be observed on Monday, February 14, according to President Drew Smith, West Pittston. Singing Valentines will be delivered during daytime hours of 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. and feature quartets from the chapter singing several love ballads to the recipient, delivered with a rose, candy and card from the donor, all in a surprise presentation. President Smith commented that the Singing Valentines are available by calling voice mail 709-3176 or 696-3385. He added that funds from the project aid the chapter’s community service programs throughout the year.
Participating in the program is the Harmony Four quartet. Seated at left are lead, Jerry Cookus, Wilkes-Barre; and at right, bass, Mike Patti, Lake Ariel. Standing at left are tenor Bob Dingman, Dallas; and at right, baritone, and Tony D’Angelo, West Pittston.
