Browns lead Lady Warriors to swim win

Sisters combine for seven wins against Nanticoke

Tia Brown had a hand in winning four events as Wyoming Area downed Nanticoke in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division III meet this past week.

Brown won the 100 Fly and 200 IM before teaming with Lauren Deluca, Melissa Cruz and Lauren Frisbie to win the 200 Medley Relay, and with sister Macawley Brown, Kierstin Lasher and Began Potosky to win the 200 Free Relay.

Macawley Brown added individual victories in the 100 and 200 Free races, and Deluca and Frisbie added victories in the 100 Back and 500 Free respectively.

Lasher won her third Diving competition of the season.

D2 Championships

The District 2 Swimming championships will take place March 4-5 at the Wilkes-Barre CYC beginning at noon on both days.

Both Pittston Area and Wyoming Area are Class 2A for the 2010-2012 seasons.

The D2 Diving Championships will be held this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre CYC.
