Tim Brown, former Oakland Raider great and Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Notre Dame, will be the featured speaker at the 8th Annual Volunteers of America’s Celebrity Dinner. The dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 4 at Genetti’s in Wilkes-Barre.

Brown, a two time All-American while at Notre Dame, won the Heisman in 1987 and was the first wide receiver to ever win the award. He also won the prestigious Walter Camp Award in 1987 and is in the College Football Hall of fame.

As a receiver and punt returner, Brown finished college with a school record 5,024 all purpose yards. He was selected 6th overall in the 1988 NFL draft and played 16 of his 17 years in the NFL with the Raiders organization.
