If it wasn’t for the annual Robbins Invitational at Misericordia University last Saturday, high school runner in Greater Pittston would have yet to compete in a varsity competition.

Wednesday’s meet was rained out and the ensuing flood waters prevented any make up meet to be run.

Hopefully, that changes this week.

Both Pittston Area and Wyoming Area are expected to run this Wednesday in a cluster against Hazleton Area, Nanticoke and Hanover Area at the Warriors course in Wyoming.

The Patriots and Warriors also need to make up its meet against each other from Sept. 7.
